An Unquenchable Thirst

What is the real secret that mankind is in search of?

People rush from workshop to workshop, from house to bigger house, from city to city, from relationship to

Man In Search of the Secret to Economic Prosperity

“better” relationship, and from trophy to glitzier trophy. And still, they continue an endless search for more, better, bigger. They are eager to create economic prosperity for their families and themselves. Is there something out there that can quench this thirst? Why are we still dissatisfied?

The real “Secret” is that our search for meaning will not be satisfied by water, food, sex, money, success, security, status or even a romantic relationship. Many people throughout   history flash medals, exude fame and garner rewards. Yet, even with these things, they still experience emptiness. How long will this eternal hunt continue?

Until we uncover the real “Secret”, we will prolong this search. The outward symbols of achievement and happiness actually have little value. The true treasure is beyond price.  To find this invaluable treasure, we have to swim into the ocean of mystery: to immerse ourselves in the waters of universal wisdom. The treasure flows from the depth of wisdom to the surface of our understanding, where we can recognize it, embrace it and adore it. When we finally discover this jewel, we will possess what we have been looking for: that treasure that we did not even realize that we wanted it.

And what is this treasure? It is called “the breath of life”, “the supreme consciousness”, and the “wisdom within”, the great “I AM”. It lies within the true self.  Through it, we can commence our transformation: turning fear into love, sadness into joy, guilt into acceptance and forgiveness, insecurity into power; doubt into faith, confusion into clarity and truth. It has nothing to do with meaningless outward symbols.

Acquiring money, position or career achievement are fine aspirations. But the “Secret” is that they arrive and endure accompanied by joy through an unblocked connection with “source”.

Deepak Chopra says: “A life spent on the surface will never answer these questions or satisfy the needs that drive us to ask them. Finding the hidden dimensions in yourself is the only way to fulfill your deepest hunger.”
And I add “ it is the only secret to economic prosperity.
