Dangerous Signs You Should Know

Have you ever felt light-headed or dizzy, your head spinning, your body heavy, your muscles tense, your neck hurting and you couldn’t think clearly? Perhaps even feeling worried, confused, or irritable?  Physically, you felt your heart was beating at a high speed. Perhaps you were experiencing sleeping problems, upset stomach, high blood pressure or forgetfulness?

These are some of the classic signs  of stress that most of us experience one way or another. As a matter of fact more often then we would like. While it’s important to pay close attention to these symptoms of stress, is vital to consult with our physician and seek the appropriate advice, as well as to rule out any other serious physical problems.

So what is stress? Stress is the activity of the mind executing  resistance to the present circumstances, creating imbalance with pain and suffering. However, it is also important to be aware that stress can have its redeeming affects: Its positive form called “eustress”, can help you to be sharp, alert energetic and focused. It can also be a wise devise working as a safety valve of protection in your life.

These signs of stress are transmitters or messengers that nature uses to warn us that something is not going well: in our environment and in the relationship with our true self. Our body and our mind are protesting, demanding a change.  As a consequence, these symptoms of stress tend to have a ripple affect in our lives and touch the most vital parts of our being. Besides affecting us at a physical and emotional level, they affect our physical surroundings. One of the saddest things that often occurs is to see our loved ones suffering as a consequence of our stressed-out behaviors. We also should insure that this negativity doesn’t get into our business environment and produce devastating effects.

When we are overwhelmed, we tend to see ourselves as victims, and embrace a “pity party” that sinks us deeper into the hole.  It’s also easy to burst into anger, and as a consequence, our relationships deteriorate bit by bit… sadly the result is that we hide our private selves.

Drugs or alcohol can be an attractive outlet to alleviate this pain, as well as over-eating, under-eating or escaping in depression.  Unfortunately, we think that we don’t have any power over these feelings. But we do. We can help ourselves and bring our nervous system into balance, if we become more aware of our reality and our senses. We can take little steps to reduce our symptoms and eventually have them disappear altogether from our lives.

We need to be creative and more resourceful, and take more responsibility to apply some solutions that make the difference in these scenarios.  I suggest finding some guidance that can help you find fresh answers. Many people of different professions can address such problems and do so in a holistic way that can restore the peace, joy and fulfillment that we deserve to have.

These are some of the things you can do to ease your stress:

  1. Meditation
  2. Relaxation
  3. Visualization
  4. Massage Therapy
  5. Yoga
  6. Positive Thinking
  7. Listening to joyful or soothing music
  8. Asking yourself fundamental questions that can help you solve your issue.
  9. Viewing an objective inventory or your blessings

Many of us experience some or all of these symptoms at some point in our daily, busy lives. Big cities in particular are carriers of stress, where life moves at a rapid pace. Our minds run confused and disoriented.  Time is always lacking and we try to find outer solutions to relieve these feelings of desperation.  However, we know that quick fixes only work as bandages over an infected wound that deserves a better long term healing option.

If we could only recognize that the true solutions to relieving stress reside within us, our lives would be better and healthier.
